A long time ago (2001 to be exact), after 13 years of experience in personal computing, I decided to turn my hobby into a career. After finishing up my associate’s degree at Bluegrass Community & Technical College, I decided to further my education at Sullivan University with a bachelor’s in Information Technology. In total, I have 27 years experience as a technologist with 15+ of those years as a systems administrator. Normally, I work full time in technology during the day and keep a fully functional 42U server rack at home for after-hours enjoyment. When I am not living tech, I spend my time with my family.
I have learned to enjoy the creative side of the web. I am more of a Linux admin or an infrastructure SA and now I have a role as a Cloud Transformation Engineer. Therefore, I use a lot of tools and templates I find around the web to make my development fast or RAD. You will find some code and some commands I have used over the years on this blog. If you want to see more of my coding, you can find it on github: Github Link for Marcus Beach.
